Sonic 4 ANNOUNCED?!

I was doing my usual rounds of entertainment updates, and found this.

While I was a Nintendo fanboy back in the 8bit and 16bit era, it is fun to see a 2d game being put back into the market. Something about 2D side scrolling chapter-style gaming reminds me of being ten years old again. I liked being ten.

Sonic Unleashed gave me a headache, it moved too fast, and required me to replay levels until I had them memorized. There was little time for reactionary gameplay, because it just moved SO RIDICULOUSLY FAST! A return to the 2d side scrolling method of platform jumping will be a good step backwards in my opinion. They may even pull in some 40 year old x-gamers with this title. Who knows?

This is the first Sonic game that is in it's numerical succession that will be released on all consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii). The tragedy for me is that there is no SEGA console to play this game on... That just doesn't seem right.
